Our Music

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” (Colossians 3:16)

As the verse above reveals, one of the most important ways that we can better understand and live out the truth about Christ is to sing songs of worship when we gather together. And so we do a lot of this at BranchCreek.

In fact, we have a huge choir, and everyone who attends a weekend service is part of it! That is, when we gather together, we’re not looking to put on a concert or showcase the many gifted musicians we have here. We are simply trying to encourage all those who attend—whether they are spiritual seekers or committed believers—to engage with God and build up one another through singing.

So, we draw from a wide variety of songs, representing both contemporary and ancient texts, as well as a broad range of emotions. And we utilize musical styles that are meaningful to people in our community—people just like you. We want you to be encouraged to jump right in and join in the singing, whether you arrive in a great mood, or are looking for comfort in the midst of hardships.

For a list of the songs we sing here at BranchCreek, most of which are available on iTunes, go to our campus bookstore called “The Vine.”

And if you are interested in using your musical gifts to help us carry out this mission of growing as a worshiping community, simply email our worship pastor at dave.detwiler@branchcreek.org, or download, fill out, and return the questionnaire below.
