Chosen 300 is an inter-denominational organization that feeds the homeless of Center City Philadelphia. BranchCreek has supported Chosen 300 since 2003 by preparing and serving meals on the first Monday of every month. In addition to providing delicious, hot food, BranchCreek volunteers also provide a time of worship and teaching for the homeless visitors. Approximately 250 guests are fed spiritually and physically by BranchCreek volunteers each month.
On average 25-30 BranchCreek volunteers participate in this ministry each month. There are many ways that you can become involved:
- Food preparation – Food prep takes place on the first Monday in the BranchCreek commercial kitchen and starts at noon and is completed by 3:30 p.m.
- Transportation – Volunteers with vans and SUV’s are needed to help with the transport of the food and the food service volunteers.
- Food service
- Worship – Use your musical gifts to bless the homeless guests
- Donations of gently-used men’s clothing and travel-sized toiletries
- Monetary gifts
