BranchCreek MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a great way to meet other moms while your kids are being cared for in a safe, friendly environment.  We enjoy adult conversation with time for learning and fun.  MOPS is open to all moms with children aged birth through kindergarten.  We meet on the second Thursday of the month from 9:15-11:15am at BranchCreek Community Church in Harleysville in rooms 405 and 406.  We meet from September through May and have 30-50 moms regularly attend the events.  We also have additional events on our calendar each month (Mom’s Nights Out, monthly hobby events, play groups) so that the moms can continue to connect throughout the month. The 2011-2012 MOPS International theme is “MomSense: Bold. Loving. Sensible.” The goal of MOPS International is to equip moms to embrace their mothering instincts and develop their own mothering style while navigating through the myriad of daily mom decisions. Developing a mothering strategy is somewhat like playing a game— and the 2011-2012 MOPS International theme is appropriately game related. Have fun being a mom! Playing games involves being bold and taking risks, loving those in the game with us and being sensible while figuring our what works and what doesn’t. During the 2011-12 MOPS year we will together explore MomSense to become better moms making a better world!!

We have tons of fun activities planned for the year – speakers, games, crafts, hands-on demonstrations, and of course, we have a brunch each month!  If you are on Facebook and would like access to our group, let us know and we’ll approve access for you.  This way you can learn more about MOPS and the different events.

The Moppets program has a full curriculum for our children (by age) and babies are more than welcome to stay with their moms if you are more comfortable with that as well.  The Moppets program is really organized well so we think you will feel comfortable leaving your kids in the classrooms.  The teachers are all wonderful and have their clearance through the state.  These loving and full-filled Moppet workers enjoy spending time with your children and helping them to make new friends and learn how to grow in their relationships.  There is also an adequate ratio of adults and teens to the children, based on age.

The cost for MOPS is the annual fee of $23.95 for MOPS International (this is required of all MOPS women and you get a magazine subscription, books, CDs, online access as your membership goodies).  BranchCreek MOPS also has meeting dues of $35 for the fall and $25 for the spring and this includes all crafts, prizes, childcare, and meeting costs.  The first meeting is on Thursday, September 8th at 9:15am. Please come on out and try September’s meeting for FREE if this sounds like something you may enjoy!

Hii Elizabeth- I know this is short notice but if you can pass the word that I am putting on a free health & fitness fair for womens & seniors i would appreciate it. I try to get as many moms to come out & get free screenings, talk to many physicians about various health & fitness questions, treat themselves to beauty/skin care samples, food & refreshments. As a mom I know I put myself last when it comes to a lot of things & being in the health field we have seen an increase with stress, hypertension, depression, etc.. & a decrease with exercise & nutritional balance. This is what I teach to many moms besides cordinating health fairs. The Health Fair is at Calvary Church in Souderton Rt113 Monday 9:00-2:00. Hope to see you & please pass the word. Thank you !

  3. Hi,

I was at the Peach Festival this past Saturday and was next to Liz (I’m thinking this is you) and then when I turned around you were gone :-( I was hoping to connect with you and let you know that I do parenting workshops and would love to have one with your group regarding learning pathways and a healthy play diet.

I am currently scheduled to do one at the Indian Valley library on Oct 14th.

I look forward to talking with you soon 267-354-0789.

    Thank you
