This year, the family celebration will be an all-day event – from 11 am to 4 pm, Saturday, April 4. Organizer Tricia Yoast says the fun will still include an egg hunt – complete with 75,000 plastic, candy-filled eggs – but that will be just one station that children can visit throughout the day. “We’re looking for 75,000 eggs with over 3,000 children in attendance,” says Tricia. “

“The goal is to invite families to come and celebrate Easter, to have families come on campus, for our church family to open their hearts and serve the community.” In addition to the egg hunt, there will be a petting zoo, moon bounce, pony rides, balloon artists, a magician and a children’s musical. On top of that will be food from community vendors, prizes and photographs taken with Mr. & Mrs. Bunny. All events are free, except for food purchased from local vendors. Because of the crowds the event has attracted, Tricia and her team are planning on more of everything. The egg hunt will take place throughout the day, more ponies have been scheduled, more balloon artists signed up and the children’s musical has been moved to the main auditorium. In other words, everything is gearing up to accommodate the thousands of guests who will visit our campus.
